Android is getting slow? What you have to do

When an Android device works slower than expected, it becomes a cause of concern for users. No matter how many modern generation devices you use, your device may not give the desired performance due to various unknown reasons. Here the necessary tips to get rid of this problem

Restart

If you suddenly notice that your Android device is running slow, the first step to fix the problem is to restart the device. Apps running in the phone's background can temporarily slow down your phone, but the specific cause is often undetectable.

Due to this, the users are in a lot of confusion. So restarting is a quick and effective way to stop them from working.

Android's memory management system works pretty well and most mobiles have enough RAM. But if you are using a device with less than 3 or 4 GB of RAM, restarting at least once a week will keep your phone safe.

Free up storage space

After using an Android phone for quite some time, users suffer from the problem of running out of storage. When you see your phone slow down and the scroll button is working very slowly, then you will know that there may be a shortage of storage. Such problems occur when your device has less than 10 percent storage space left. Keeping 20 percent of storage unused will make your device run faster.

Uninstall unnecessary apps

Many times we install apps on devices which we don't use. These unnecessary apps take up the storage space of your mobile. And if they continue to run in the background, memory can become clogged. So uninstalling unnecessary apps will increase your phone's speed and battery life. Apps can be uninstalled in different ways.

A long press on the app icon will bring up the uninstall option next to it, then selecting it and clicking it will uninstall the app. But if you don't want to delete the app, then you can delete its cliché files.

It will also free up quite a bit of storage. You can delete cliché files by adopting these methods:

♦ Go to phone settings option.

♦ Tap on the Storage option.

♦ Tap the Other Apps option.

♦ Delete the files by selecting the app cliches you want to delete and then clicking the Clear Cliché button.

Change system animation speed

Animation speed refers to how long it takes to open an app when it is clicked to open. Reduce the speed of system animations on your Android phone, although it won't speed up the phone, it will give the impression that the apps on the device are running faster. Turning off the system animation option completely will give you better results. This trick will almost feel like magic if your Android phone is running slow. This setting is usually hidden in the developer options on the device. You have to go to the drawing section from the setting option of the mobile and go to the system option. There you will find three types of animation scales. The lower the speed you set, the faster your device will work.

Use the Lite Edition app

Many apps like Facebook offer lite apps for Android devices. These apps will occupy relatively less space on your phone storage. Although Google has discontinued its Lite app, many social media apps still offer their Lite versions.

Keep software updated

Check the software update option if the Android phone is not working properly. Google optimizes Android with every new release. Most mobile companies do the same for their software. New software update versions of Android keep coming. Install it without delay. Once the phone software is updated, check the Google Play Store to see if there are any updates left for the apps you use. Get rid of them quickly too. Apart from this, you can turn on the automatic update option. This will automatically update the apps if there is a Wi-Fi connection. You can also keep the automatic update option on through mobile data, but you may have to pay extra fees if your internet pack runs out.

Install custom ROM

If you have a relatively old and slow Android mobile, whose warranty has also expired, then you can consider installing a customized ROM or kernel. By doing this, the performance of the device will be better than before and you can also use new software. But before flashing the ROM make sure your phone's bootloader is unlocked. How to root and install a custom ROM or kernel differs depending on the device variant and manufacturer.

Do a factory reset

If all the suggestions so far haven't solved the problem with your Android device, another way is to do a factory reset. While factory reset is a great way to improve phone performance, it also has some drawbacks. This restores your device to its new state, but erases all previous data. If you are ready to factory reset your Android device, make a backup of the necessary data first. Then perform a factory reset, which will restore your device to its new state and keep all your data safe.
